Joshua Oertli became a Northwestern Mutual Representative because of his passion to help people secure financial stability throughout life.  As the financial services landscape grows and changes, Josh is committed to staying current by continuing his education and certification as seen by his designations of CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, RICP®, series 7 and 63. He also maintains product licenses in multiple states to better services clients throughout the U.S.  Josh has been a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round table every year since 2008 (2008-2017) and a National Quality Award winner every year since 2007 (NQA, 2007-2010; NAIFA Quality Award, 2011-2017).

Josh has been in leadership since 2006 starting as a College Unit Director, Field Director, Recruiting Field Director, and now Managing Director.  He believes deeply in giving back what he has been gifted.  After success in his personal practice, Josh committed to the leadership path to be a Managing Director to give back to the system that has given him so much.  In 2013 Josh was named Managing Director and is excited to lead the office in which he started his career 9 years prior.

Josh is also involved in giving back to the community.  From 2009-2012 he was part of the CRG foundation Board and President for the maximum three year term.  During his presidency the CRG Foundation grew from raising $18,000/year to $75,000/year in donations from FRs.


Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) 
Josh Oertli received his CFP® certification on November 30, 2011
The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) certification is one of the most recognized financial planning marks in the world. CFP®certification identifies to the public those individuals who have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence when dealing with clients. The CFP®certification is administered by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board), which enforces education, examination, experience and ethics requirements for CFP®certificants.

Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®)
Josh Oertli received his ChFC®on May 1, 2010
The Chartered Financial Consultant®(ChFC®) designation focuses on the comprehensive financial planning process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client's total financial situation; to identify and establish specific financial goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals. The ChFC® program provides financial services professionals with in-depth knowledge of the skills needed to perform comprehensive financial planning for their clients.

Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®)
Josh Oertli received his CLU®on May 8, 2009
The Chartered Life Underwriter®(CLU®) designation has long been recognized as the fundamental and foremost educational credential for life insurance professionals. Since 1927, more than 94,000 individuals have earned their CLU®, helping them build a successful life insurance practice by providing clients with knowledgeable and ethical advice. The CLU® designation symbolizes continuing growth and commitment to professionalism.

Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®)

Josh Oertli Received his RICP® on September 1st, 2017

The Retirement Income Certified Professional designation equips advisors with the knowledge to effectively manage the transition from asset accumulation during a client’s working years to asset decumulation in retirement. RICP® enables the advisor to demonstrate tremendous value by delivering smart strategies for creating secure, sustainable income for a client's retirement.

Columns Resource Group Foundation Past President   
As active members of their communities, the Columns Resource Group's Foundation helps to connect charitable organizations with available resources through donations and time provided by various employees of the Columns Resource Group.  The Columns Resource Group Foundation has participated in events such as Bedrace for Bridging, Cook for Kids, and the Polar Bear Plunge.
